Budget are partners in the Air New Zealand Airpoints™ programme, so you can collect Airpoints Dollars™ when you rent from any one of our Budget locations in New Zealand, Australia or the Pacific, or from any Budget airport location worldwide, except Alaska.

Simply quote your Air New Zealand Airpoints number at the time of booking or when you collect your rental and you'll earn Airpoints Dollars on any qualifying rentals.

Air New Zealand Airpoints members wanting to make rental vehicle reservations can call Budget on 0800 58 58 58 or +64 9 526 3243.

Members earn 2.50 Airport Dollars per day's rental, on all qualifying rentals.

From 1 November 2018, you can no longer earn New Zealand Fly Buys points.  We have a multitude of other reward partners where you can earn great benefits on your next rental. 

Yes, if you're a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program you can earn 700 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per rental on qualifying rentals from participating Budget New Zealand rental locations.

Membership and points are subject to the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

• Qantas Frequent Flyer points cannot be earned on staff rates, corporate rates, discount promotions, free days, tours or certain travel industry rates.
• Only one loyalty points program may be nominated per rental and the renter name must be the same as the membership name of that particular program.
• Qantas Frequent Flyer Members must quote their membership number when making a reservation and show their membership card when collecting their vehicle, or at the counter at checkout. (This is not required if the membership number is already linked to your Fastbreak & Rapidrez profile).

Not all rentals qualify for frequent traveller points or loyalty points. Non-qualifying rentals may include, but are not limited to:

• Discount Plans
• Special Promotions
• Awards
• Vouchers
• Travel Industry Rates
• Wholesale Tour Packages
• Insurance / Dealer Replacement
• Any Group Travel
• Reservations made on portal sites
• Rentals from non-participating Budget locations

Yes, you can. If you've completed a qualifying Budget rental and forgot to include your Air New Zealand Airpoint or Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number, please contact the Budget Customer Service team and advise the following details:

• Rental Agreement Number
• Frequent Flyer / Loyalty Membership Number

Customer Services will check the required information pertaining to your past rental and if the rental qualifies for a credit, the appropriate information will be forwarded to the respective travel partner for processing.

PLEASE NOTE: The renters name must match the name displayed on the loyalty membership card/profile.
